Why you started PT with Alive Personal Training
After returning to work and sitting at my desk all day, I put on some kilos and my healthy eating habits took somewhat of a holiday! I knew I didn’t have the motivation to get myself to a gym regularly to workout, so I contacted Alive who come to me!
How long have you been training?
I have completed 7 weeks training to date and enjoyed every moment!
What you feel you have achieved?
I KNOW I have lost a number of kilos (6 kilos) in just seven weeks and am very happy to say that myself and my family are back on the healthy eating track. Regular walks have also become a part of my day to day routine and my sense of general wellbeing is fantastic!
Any stand out moments?
Fitting back in to my dresses that I couldn’t’ even do up a couple of months ago and being able to go for long walks and not feel puffed out.
What you love most about your training?
Boxing!! It’s awesome. A total body workout with many different moves to boot! My trainer is great too. I really look forward to her visits as we always manage a chat and a laugh as we workout.
What advise would you give to others?
Join Alive! They’re the best if you want to feel strong, healthy and fit! Their advice is second to none and you WILL see results!

Why you started PT with Alive Personal Training
I started Personal Training with Alive as I wanted to get fit and toned for my wedding. I have been a member of many gyms but just get bored and unmotivated. I also really like exercising outdoors and Alive could accommodate this.
How long have you been training?
About 3 months. I began with one-on-one sessions with Stephanie and have now joined a running group.
What you feel you have achieved
Firstly, I am able to run more than 2 km without my chest feeling like it is going to explode! I am excited about exercise now instead of feeling like it’s a drag. I also felt fantastic on my wedding day and was very happy with the results I achieved.
Any stand out moments?
It's simple, but just running around the tan without stopping was an achievement for me.
What you love most about your training
Being outdoors, the variety and Steph is always very present and enthusiastic. Safety is a priority and the sessions are always challenging and rewarding.
What advise would you give to others?
Having a Personal Trainer is a great way to get started and stop procrastinating. I would highly recommend Stephanie and Alive Personal Training. Thoroughly professional

Why you started PT with Alive Personal Training
In 1999 I was experiencing stresses so I joined a gym. In 2002 I heard of a Run Group starting and as I was up for a new challenge thought that might be fun ?
Alive Personal Training forms the basis of my healthy living program and gym and yoga classes are an adjunct to this.

How long have you been training?
Well 6 years later I’m still running !
Alive offers personal training, running and fitness, swimming and deep water running and I have experienced all of these areas in the past 6 years.
What you feel you have achieved
Alive personal trainers are active and interested in assisting us achieve our ongoing goals and will tailor programs to suit individual needs. I have gone from a non-runner to a 30 second runner 1 minute walk to a repeat half marathoner!
Any stand out moments?
Swimming I initially found scary but it’s a great cardio workout without the stress on limbs.
What you love most about your training?
The weekly Run Group is fun and trains us in different types of running and cardio exercises – long runs, sprints, intervals and circuits which are geared to improving strength and stamina. We enter group fun runs and challenge ourselves and each other and that’s part of the fun. And it’s a social group as well.
What advice would you give to others?
If you want to feel active and alive I recommend Alive Personal Training for an all-round and personal approach to health and fitness.

Why you started PT with Alive Personal Training
I joined Alive PT with the specific intention of becoming a long distance runner (as my previous best was a grand total of about 3 kilometers).
How long have you been training?
That was 6 years ago and I am still keen! Since joining, I have competed in 8 half marathons and many fun runs.
What you feel you have achieved
For each of these, Steph set me a rigorous but measured program to get prepared for these events. I know that I would not have been able to achieve these running milestones without the training and support I have received through Alive PT.
Apart from the weekly running training sessions with Alive PT, I have also done other forms of training such as circuit classes, Deep Water Running and weights programs.
Any stand out moments?
I have certainly achieved many personal training and fitness goals along the way but I really value the fact that Steph is able to help me develop and attain my personal goals. Training is individualized, attention is high and safety is always monitored. But there is always fun to be had.
What you love most about your training
I have met wonderful people through Alive PT and formed some valuable friendships. We laugh about the fact that we don't care that we have all just rolled out of bed first thing in the morning and are not fussed to be hot and sweaty around each other.
What advise would you give to others?
To sum up, I value the personalised nature of my training and the holistic approach taken to health and wellbeing. Furthermore, I am encouraged by Steph’s constant pursuits to further her own knowledge base and extend her own training repertoire. I have benefited from my involvement with Alive PT in many ways; well beyond the fitness aspect alone.
